about;
Born to a remote village deep within the Golmore Jungle, Gunnar's people are a miniscule portion of the Viera populace who have eschewed the traditional societal norms in order to survive. With a population so small as to be unable to sustain the usual custom of matriarchal village and Wood-Warder guardians, men and women trend instead towards war pairs, living a semi-nomadic subsistence lifestyle.As a warder, Gunnar’s life was one peppered with rituals and superstitions, including the strange and sometimes tasty brews concocted by his partner Yvet that are meant to induce visions. All it took was one such potion and a few bad left turns in his hallucinogen-induced wandering to self-exile from his people's sacred forest.After 80 cycles of the star in exile, it is safe to say any love in his heart for "The Green Word" has dissipated into spent aether. It has been replaced by a love of all things technological especially fast vehicles, Gunblades and Robots.
hooks;
General:
understanding that the wider non-Viera population might be taken aback by the half-dressed fellow with the long ears, Gunnar will be happy to converse with anyone caught staring, especially if they buy him a drink in the process
absolutely delighted by the variety of food and drink and intoxicants he's discovered on "The Outside", there are times when something as simple as a tavern menu can turn him into a small child in a candy shop
owing to his non-standard cultural upbringing and overall personality, Gunnar seems to be louder and more gregarious than the average former Wood-Warder, the kind of guy one wants on their team for karaoke night at the Free Company house
Golmore-born Rava Viera:
the Viera equivalent of rednecks, chavs, bogans, or hillbillies, Gunnar's village is so removed from the bulk of society it could be the backdrop for a Stephen King novel
while the population has burgeoned and stabilized enough over the generations to embrace the normal Viera lifestyle, most still prefer the unusual intimacy of the bonded pair
owing to the village's less-desirable swampy territory Gunnar exhibits a fondness for water unusual to his arboreal kin
